  1. PC results for the 600 s treatment were assessed for each 200 s period, for comparison to the fractionated treatments. Results for the multiple treatments were summed to give the total effect. PCs were significantly less than in the 1st period for the successive periods of the 600 s treatment (a), and the mean was significantly less than the mean for the fractionated treatments (b). Troponin release was significantly reduced for the 2nd and 3rd of the fractionated treatments (c)
